Hair Removal
VPL is very effective for long-term hair reduction. VPL is very cost effective when compared to a lifetime of hair removal at home. Shaving, waxing and depilatory creams may be cheaper initially but all are temporary methods that must be repeated on a regular basis. VPL hair removal is non-invasive, and safely removes unwanted body hair without damaging the delicate pores and structures of the skin. Facial and bikini areas are usually completed in 30 minutes; legs and larger areas can take slightly longer.
Electrolysis the only long-lasting hair removal solution for blonde hairs. It is usually limited to small areas like the chin because each hair is treated individually. Hair over-growth in these areas can cause low self-esteem and psychological problems but a solution is available with great results.

Acne The Ultra VPL™ improves both acne scarring and active acne by destroying the bacteria that causes the infection. Perfect for deep cystic acne when conventional treatments fail. Acne is healed significantly following a course of treatments and skin texture and tone is improved as further collagen is produced.

Broken Capillaries and Rosacea can also be treated with Ultra VPL™. By only targeting specific areas of the skin we are able to provide treatment of the capillaries and redness without disrupting surrounding tissue.

Pigmentation (Sun, liver and age spots) These are conditions which usually appear in later years. These are all caused by an excess amount of melanin, the pigment which determines our hair and skin colour. Because Ultra VPL™ is a light based technology, we are able to effectively treat this condition with little or no side-effects.

Rejuvenation Ultra VPL™ helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by sending light through the skin which stimulates the production of collagen, a useful ingredient in helping the skin restore its youthful look. The procedure can be done in 3-5 treatments over 3 week intervals and post maintenance treatments can be done to prolong the effects.

What is the difference between VPL and Laser?
The wavelength of light. VPL uses a broader spectrum of pulsating light than laser and therefore suitable for a wider range of hair and skin types. The risks of VPL are also much lower than with laser.
Am I suitable?
The lighter the skin and darker the hair, the better the results you will receive. VPL is best done in winter months to prevent the light dispersing on the surface tanned skin instead of reaching the lower levels. In saying that we have produced some excellent results with darker skin tones too.
Who should not have this treatment?
Anyone with light sensitivity or healing problems. These usually occur from medications or intensive skin treatments such as peels. Epilepsy, insulin dependant diabetics, antibiotics, active cold sores, roaccutane (2yrs), steriods (2mths). Pregnancy and breast feeding because safety has not been established and hair reduction may not work well due to hormones.
