What is the difference between VPL and Laser?

The wavelength of light. VPL uses a broader spectrum of pulsating light than laser and therefore suitable for a wider range of hair and skin types. The risks of VPL are also much lower than with laser.
Am I suitable?
The lighter the skin the better the results you will receive. VPL is best done in winter months to prevent the light dispersing on the surface tanned skin instead of it reaching the lower levels. In saying that we have produced some excellent results with darker skin tones too.
Who should not have this treatment?
Anyone with light sensitivity or healing problems. These usually occur from medications or intensive skin treatments such as peels. Epilepsy, insulin dependant diabetics, antibiotics, active cold sores, roaccutane (2yrs), steriods (2mths). Pregnancy and breast feeding because safety has not been established and hair reduction may not work well due to hormones.

VPL is very effective for long-term hair reduction. VPL is very cost effective when compared to a lifetime of hair removal at home. Shaving, waxing and depilatory creams may be cheaper initially but all are temporary methods that must be repeated on a regular basis. VPL hair removal is non-invasive, and safely removes unwanted body hair without damaging the delicate pores and structures of the skin.
